What is chiropractic and how does it work?

The word chiropractic means "working with the hands". This is because it is the highly qualified and experienced hands that carry out a chiropractic adjustment on the patient using specially trained, precise movements and thus represent an essential component of chiropractic treatment.

However, before the chiropractic adjustment method is used for treatment, the focus is first on a precise analysis of the patient's condition and circumstances.

In chiropractic treatment, we look at the whole person. We do not simply treat symptoms. With our holistic approach, we try to identify the cause of painful symptoms and/or functional disorders in the patient and restore the natural functional principle. Christian Waier is your expert for holistic chiropractic in MunichGermany and all over Europe!

Christian Waier is your chiropractor for the whole of Germany

Christian Waier is constantly on the move in his search for new knowledge and insight - but still has both feet firmly on the ground.

He is an emphatic perfectionist, systematic observer, always inspired and fascinated by our brain's control over the body and our health.

It is the special blend of expertise, experience and personality that has made Christian Waier an institution in recent years, both as a treating chiropractor in Germany and as a speaker and trainer internationally.

Our chiropractic treatment techniques

Using modern treatment techniques and a holistic approach, we try to treat the causes of complaints and relieve pain permanently.

Brain Based
Chiropractic

Brain Based Chiropractic is one of the methods that have been significantly influenced and further developed by Christian Waier as a practitioner and trainer in chiropractic.

Modern research has shown that realigning the spine changes the brain most significantly. The spine is surrounded by hundreds of tiny muscles and millions of nerves that constantly tell the brain what is happening in the body and you could say it is like the "antenna to the brain".

Full-Spine
Chiropractic

Full-spine chiropractic is a technique in which misalignments or so-called "subluxations" of the spine or joints are felt with the hands or determined by analyzing X-ray images.

The aim is to relieve the spine and joints of their pain, relieve the nervous system and improve the range of motion of the joints. It is the supreme discipline and the origin of classic "American chiropractic".

Thompson Terminal Point technology

The Thompson technique requires a special treatment table to treat or adjust the head, cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, pelvis, sacrum or other joints such as the shoulder or hip. This is done with so-called "drops" that are mechanically built into the table.

We use tables in our practice that have been specially manufactured and configured for our treatment concept in the U.S.A..

Frequently asked questions about chiropractic

Chiropractic adjustment refers to a treatment technique in chiropractic. According to study results, it is a gentle correction of misalignments in the joints of the spine, which is carried out with precise, pinpoint pressure on the vertebrae.
The aim of the adjustment is to bring blocked or displaced vertebrae back into the correct position in order to restore natural mobility along the spine.

The joints along the spine are arranged one above the other. During adjustment, a vacuum is created in the joint, which produces the familiar "crack". In physical terms, this is the release of a vacuum.

This means that when the joints are adjusted, a pressure difference is created which causes air to be sucked into the joint. Due to the rapid chiropractic impulse, the trapped air is released and causes the familiar "pop" sound.

Many people feel relaxed and completely at ease after an adjustment.
Especially if there is immediate success. However, this cannot be the rule.

A compensation chain that the body has built up over years, often decades, cannot be completely reversed with one or even the first treatment. But there are also people who do not notice any changes after just a few treatments. This does not mean that nothing has happened, but simply that there has been no external reaction from the body. A little patience is required here. From a functional neurological point of view, the body needs a certain amount of time for the nervous system to adapt.

American chiropractic is suitable for babies, (small) children, adolescents, adults and people of the "best age". The earlier misalignments are discovered, the better. It therefore makes sense to be adjusted as a child. Schoolchildren and pre-school children can also benefit from an adjustment. Poor posture in particular often causes functional problems for them.
A chiropractic examination and treatment can also be helpful here.

Different techniques are used depending on the patient's initial situation.
At the Waier practice, these can include full spine chiropractic, Thompson terminal point technique, sacro occipital technique, instrument technique or the Ackermann technique.
